VOLUNTEER!

Comal County Conservation Alliance (CCCA) is an all-volunteer organization and welcomes your support!

We encourage everyone to get involved by participating in one or more of our committees. Descriptions of our primary committees can be found below

To volunteer, please complete the form on the right. Plan to attend one of our monthly community programs, meet the Committee Chairs, and find out how you can help.

Communications Committee

Committee Work Includes:  Managing CCCA website; creating publicity materials, publicizing events, contacting media outlets, developing promotional items,  getting price quotes, and supporting other CCCA committee efforts. 

Government Affairs Committee

Committee Work Includes: Researching funding options (private land donation conservation easement donation, grants, loans, bonds); developing information packets and talking points explaining how conserving land is critical to the county's water resources, tourism industry, and economic future; and, developing a relationship with city and county government officials.

​Outreach Committee

Committee  Work Includes: Staffing CCCA table at community events; presenting slide presentations about CCCA to community groups; working with the business community to support land conservation and increased green space; and identifying critical aquifer recharge habitats and sensitive ecological areas at risk in Comal County.

Research Development Committee​

Committee Work Includes: Writing grant proposals for funding of CCCA programs and developing and managing fundraising events.
