Help Support Land Preservation

Picture
Comal Land Conservation Fund
Comal County is rapidly losing large tracts of open land to development, putting stress on our natural resources. To help make land preservation an affordable option for landowners, CCCA created the Comal Land Conservation Fund (CLCF) to provide funds for projects dedicated to preserving open space in Comal County. Among the projects eligible for CLCF funding is a landowner’s effort to establish a conservation easement through a contract with a Land Trust entity. Conservation easements allow landowners to retain ownership and use of their land while agreeing to keep the land in its existing state. These easements will protect the land in perpetuity and provide open spaces that benefit the entire county.

Help make preservation of our beautiful natural areas and precious natural resources a reality in Comal County before it's too late.

At CCCA, we believe that the work to preserve natural habitats and healthy natural systems in our county is an effort that is benefitted by the representation and participation of all segments of our community, embracing the rich diversity of talent, perspectives, experiences, and needs found throughout our county. Diversity includes people of different ages, races and ethnicities, abilities and disabilities, genders, religions, cultures, and sexual orientations.
All are welcome and encouraged to participate in the effort to preserve land, water, and wildlife in Comal County.
