2023 Award Recipients:
Sisters, Joyce Moore & Cindy Martine Joyce Moore and Cindy Martinez were recognized with the Jensie Madden Comal Conservation Award in 2023 for their outstanding commitment to safeguarding land, water, and wildlife in Comal County. Their unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship was notably demonstrated by their preservation efforts, which included protecting 6,000 acres of land within the protected watershed at Honey Creek Springs and safeguarding the longest cave in Texas. Their actions exemplify the core values of the award. Through their relentless efforts, Moore and Martinez have made substantial contributions to the conservation and sustainability of the local environment, leaving a profound and enduring impact on the community.
